The Evansville Christmas on North Main Parade has moved up the start time of this year’s parade to 2:30 on Sunday, November 24th because of the growth in entries from last year.

In addition to moving up the parade time, Santa’s Workshop, at the corner of Columbia and Main St., will also be moved up and will now be from 12:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Santa’s Workshop will feature many activities including: photos with Santa, live music, a petting zoo for the kids, crafts and much more.

Food vendors will be available in the Civic Center Parking Lot, Santa’s Workshop, and Garvin Park.

Activities at Garvin Park in front of Bosse Field, where the parade will end, will begin at 4:00 with choirs, music, and cookies and hot chocolate with proceeds going to Easter Seals.

Visitors will also enjoy a “preview” of Ritzy’s Fantasy of Lights, as selected displays will be illuminated to provide a “sneak peek” of that Easter Seals fundraising event which opens on Thanksgiving night.

The parking lot at Bosse field will be used for those wanting to bring lawn chairs or blankets to see fireworks that start at 5:30.
