You don't have to look far down the annual U.S. News and World Report list of the "Best High Schools in America" to find the downtown Evansville school located across the street from the Ford Center.

The report, which ranked 19,411 schools across the country, uses an intricate formula to determine how well students performer on state assessment tests, and how well the school prepares them for college.

Of those 19,411 schools, Signature School placed 21st with a 14 to one ratio of students to teachers (the national average was 15:1), and a 97.9 college readiness rating (the highest possible is 100.0).

Started as Indiana's first charter school in 2002, Signature is public high school that features an internationally based curriculum with emphasis on fine and performing arts, science, technology, mathematics, and the liberal arts.

If I may speak for everyone here, congratulations to Signature on the achievement, and to learn more on what the school has to offer, visit their website.
