My friend told me about the iBotta app and I politely ignored her for a few months. Big mistake... When I finally got around to downloading it and using it, I realized that it was like couponing but quite a bit easier. I didn't have to go through the coupons, clip them and then remember to bring them and use them. I have enough adulting to do every day.

Basically, with this app, you go through the list of products and select the ones you want to buy. The app then sends you an email with your list. When you are at the grocery store, pick up the items and then upload your receipt back into the app. You get a rebate through Paypal, Amazon or a gift card of your choice after you rack up $20-$25 in rebates. The rebates are actually pretty good too. I just received $.75 for buying coffee creamer, $1.00 juice, $.75 on Cheerios and $.75 on orange juice so it's not only offered on obscure items you don't normally buy.

So, all-in-all, it takes an extra 15 minutes or so out of your week but can save you quite a bit of money and even can help you plan meals.
