Youth Resources (YR) of Southwestern Indiana is great non-profit based here in Evansville whose mission has been to empower young people to take ownership of challenges they see in the community, devise action plans to address those issues, and implement service projects to improve life in the local community through their leadership. It's a mission they've carried out for 25 years. It's a mission they've been able to carry out for 25 years thanks to fundraising efforts like the "Give Back" event coming up on Wednesday, July 18th.

As the host of Youth Resources' annual Big Man on Campus competition since its inception three years ago, I've had the privilege of seeing first hand the empowerment Youth Resources instills in the young adults who see a project through from start to finish. That's why fundraising events like the upcoming Give Back for Youth Resources are so important. The money raised helps ensure they can continue to mold the young people in our community into the future adults that will lead our community.

Being a part of Give Back for Youth Resources is easy...and delicious! All you have to do is stop by Applebee's on Evansville's west side on Pearl Drive across from AMC Theater anytime during regular business hours on the 18th and tell them that you want to give back to Youth Resources. 15% of every lunch, dinner, and gift certificate purchased that day goes back to YR. *Please note - this is at Applebee's west side location ONLY!*

If you can't make it to Applebee's, then swing by Gracie's Chinese Buffet next to Buehler's IGA on Highway 41 North in front of the Vanderburgh 4-H Center for dinner and tell them you want to give back to YR and they'll donate 20% of your bill.

So grab a few friends and family members and rack up a huge bill at either one of these great Evansville restaurants. The more you spend, the more Youth Resources receives. Be sure to leave room for dessert.
