Diamond Pet Food brands are sold at Tractor Supply and Rural King stores in Indiana and Illinois.

The recall has spread to 20 states.

On May 4, Diamond Pet Foods issued a recall for Diamond Naturals Small Breed Adult Dog Lamb & Rice Formula.  Sample, 6 pound and 18 pound bag sizes were included in that recall.  Production information and product codes for all the recalled brands are listed below.

Animals effected by salmonella poisoning usually have less of an appetite, have a fever and have a sore belly.  If not treated by a vet, the animal will become very groggy, have diarrhea, fever and vomiting.  Healthy pets can be carriers of salmonella and infect other animals and humans.
