I've been out of the dating game for a while now, and with the way things are, I'm kinda glad I am. But when I was "on the market", I always found it hard to keep up with the ever-changing rules of engagement (pun intended)! I used to be that when you met a girl at the club, or supermarket or church (where ever your favorite hunting grounds are), you'd introduce yourself, toss out some witty repartee, a few complements, get the number, wait about three days, then call.

Now-a-days, in an age where everyone wants everything YESTERDAY  three days is TOO LONG to wait. According to a new LoveGeist survey, given to singles in the UK, the traditional “three-day rule” for contact after a first date no longer applies. The new rule is a day and a half AT THE MOST! Otherwise her attention span will run out and she'll think you're no longer interested!

What other dating rules have changed that you've noticed?
