While on the west side of Evansville over the weekend running a few errands, I couldn't help but notice construction of a new Culver's location had begun on the lot that until 2014 was home to Evansville's first Steak & Shake.

News of Culver's purchasing the lot for construction of a new location started making the rounds back in September after the Facebook page, Evansville 411, noticed the company had filed for a construction permit with the state for the property.

At that time, there was no word on when construction was set to begin, however, by the looks of it now, the company is eager to get their second location up and running.

While there's no word on when the new location is set to open, by the look of things, it won't be long before residents on the west side will get to enjoy those famous butterburgers, and delicious frozen custard.
