After last year's event resulted in higher attendance than expected, the crew at Comic Quest on Morgan Avenue decided to make "Game Day" an annual event.

Beginning at 9am and continuing until the midnight hour, the event is free to attend for gamers of all ages and will feature multiple tournaments, including their first ever Skylanders tournament, game demos, championship events, and door prizes every hour valued between $3.99 and $99.99.

Other features of the event include a cosplay custom contest, an appearance by the 501st Legion, as well as artist and creators appearances to do sketches and show their craft.

For the younger gamers in attendance, the 2nd Annual Charity Game Day will also include a Kids Korner which children will be able to make masks, get their faces painted, make buttons, get pictures made of themselves on a button, all while their parents are relaxing and playing games.

Finally, a charity bake sale and raffle will take place throughout the day with proceeds benefiting Child's Play, a national charity that works directly with some of the country's most renown children's hospitals including Riley in Indianapolis, and Kosair in Louisville, to provide video game equipment such as consoles, games, accessories, and even tablet computers to the patients to help pass the time during their stay, or for use during therapy sessions.
