Comedian Ralphie May, who made his struggle with obesity a part of his stand-up act through most of his career, has died at the age of 45.

TMZ.com was the first to report the news, saying May had been reportedly been battling pneumonia for the last six weeks and died of cardiac arrest. He was found at his home in Las Vegas by someone inside the residence.

May has made a couple of stops in Evansville over the past few years, most recently December 18th at the Victory Theater.

He leaves behind two children with ex-wife, comedian Lahna Turner.

Our condolences to his friends and family.
