If you were planning to be out and about tomorrow, you may want to think twice. City officials have issues an Air-Quality Alert for the Tri-State.

According to the Courier and Press, city officials are advising residents to avoid prolonged exposure to the outdoors. This is especially true for people with respiratory diseases such as asthma. As someone who grew up having severe asthma, the summer air would often cause havoc to my breathing. I wasn't the most fun kid to hang out with during the summer. On the bright side, you finally have a legit excuse to skip mowing the lawn on Saturday!

Despite the air alert, Shrinersfest (taking place on the Evansville riverfront) will continue as planned.
