Newburgh is a small, charming town with the cutest little shops and restaurants. It's the perfect place to enjoy and Olde World Christmas.

November 5th – many of the businesses are decorated for the Holidays and offering specials

Saturday, November 12th – the hanging of the wreaths.  Make a game of it and search out the wreaths at participating businesses then sign up for the drawing.

Saturday, November 19 – Silver Bell Saturday.  The Town and most of the business are decorated and offer refreshments, specials, prizes and many provide music.

Black Friday – Newburgh is where Christmas feels like Christmas.  Pick up a visitor’s guide at one of the local businesses or print one from this website under Plan a Visit tab.

 Small Business Saturday is November 26th which is the Saturday after Thanksgiving – There is lots of shopping from the north end, west end, Jennings Station and Downtown Newburgh.  That night we will be lighting the Merchant sponsored live tree.  This year the tree will be in front of Town Hall and lite a week earlier than usual.

Newburgh Celebrates Christmas
Friday Evening, December 2nd, kicks off Newburgh Celebrates Christmas weekend.  Friday evening is the lighting of the luminaria along the streets and the Festival of Trees at Preservation Hall.

Saturday and Sunday on that first weekend is a free form street music with Victorian characters, musicians and chestnuts roasting on the open fire. Find the Elf Contest and Find the Candy Cane contest gives customers a chance to see and experience shops and restaurants they may never have been in.

Saturday at Jennings Station, there will be a live Nativity and a photo opportunity in a giant snow globe 3:30 – 5 pm.

Santa and Mrs. Claus comes to Town Hall Saturday, 10-noon & 1:30 – 3 pm and Sunday 1 pm – 4 pm.  Bring your camera and take your own family photo.  Santa is even willing to have his photo taken with your pet.  It is free!

Saturday evening, at Town Hall, join us for the official town lighting of the Tree of Lights and a community concert by the Castle Knight Sensations.  It is an enchanting day.

Sunday enjoy a Pop-up Theater by the Newburgh Community Theater.
