USI students rejoice: two new restaurants will be opening on campus in the fall of 2016. According to an article in the campus newspaper The Shield, Chick-Fil-A and Steak N' Shake are confirmed to be opening this fall.

The new restaurants will replace Burger King and Archie's Pizzeria. I ate my fair share of Burger King during my time at USI (I normally avoided Archie's because I value my digestive tract) but I might have to re-enroll just to get a daily dose of Chick-Fil-A (I know I could just go to Chick-Fil-A and not get more into student loan debt but I want the option of Chick-Fil-A while I audit classes to be a dental assistant).

I do wonder if the negotiations for Chick-Fil-A will include an option to have eagle on the menu since that is the mascot of USI. I know it's highly illegal but nothing is more American than eating the bird of our nation. I hear they taste like freedom and guns.

Steak N' Shake coming to USI is a great move as many students have longed for a late-night steakburger ever since the west side location shut down. Finally, students can drunkenly stumble across campus for a milkshake instead of having to drunkenly stumble up the highway. It's very convenient.

The new restaurants will open in the fall. Until then, students can continue to spend all the money at Starbucks (that also has a library attached).
