2011 has been a breakout year for Adele. Her latest album, 21 has sold over 10 million copies worldwide thanks in part to the huge success of it's first two singles, "Rolling in the Deep" and the piano ballad "Someone Like You". Everywhere you look, it seems like Adele is there. With the exception of one area...music videos.

The video for "Rolling in the Deep" did receive 7 nominations at this year's MTV VMA's, however the song had already firmly established itself through massive radio play before the video was even filmed which in the world of music entertainment is kind of a backwards way to go about it. Generally, the video is shot before the song is released to radio that way both can be released simultaneously or at least pretty close to one another.
If you think about it, this unconventional method fits Adele perfectly as she herself has become an unconventional success story. In this world of Lady Gaga's, Katy Perry's, and other pop stars who feel the need to dress in ridculous outfits or say absurd things in an effort to keep their name in the news so people don't forget them and move on to the next outrageous thing, Adele has kept to herself and put out great music that the listening public has gravitated toward in droves.
Back to the point, Adele is set to release the video for her newest single "Someone Like You" on MTV this Thursday at 6:56pm. To tide you over until then, check out this sneak preview courtesty of MTV.com.
