Celebrate National Black Cat Day with Photos of Kat’s Black Cat
Today we celebrate black cats with National Black Cat Day! To help you celebrate, enjoy photos of Kat's black cat!
In the fall of 2011 I brought home a beautiful little black kitty named Boo from the Humane Society of Henderson County, and what an amazing addition she has been! We just celebrated 5 years together last Sunday. I was nervous that my older cat, Sophe and Boo might not get along - Sophe had been an only pet for years - but they are best friends! They snuggle together and even groom one another.
Unfortunately, not all black cats get to go to loving homes like mine. In fact, black cats are often overlooked in shelters. People will pass them by just because they are black without a second thought. One of the best decisions I ever made was to bring my sweet little Boo kitty home. Here are some of my favorite pictures of her.
If you're ready to adopt there are plenty of animal rescues here in the community that have more than enough cats - and dogs for that matter - that are in need of loving forever homes!
