Remembering Robin Williams: The Actor We All Felt We Knew

“Can you believe Popeye is played by the guy who plays Mork?” These words from my mother blew my seven-year-old mind. That's my intro to a piece I don’t know how to write and, honestly, probably shouldn’t be writing so soon after learning about Robin Williams’ death. I only had one encounter with Williams professionally – an interview promoting ‘Happy Feet 2,’ of all things – yet there are tears coming down my face as I type this for what is essentially a stranger. Even though he’s not a stranger. Everyone knew him. This is everyone’s loss.

RIP Robin Williams: A Look Back at the Late Actor’s Best Work

Robin Williams' death is shocking and heartbreaking and touches us in a way usually reserved for close friends. Maybe that's because we're of a generation that grew up on Robin Williams. He's been making us laugh and cheering us up since we were kids; like a big-screen father figure. That he died suffering from severe depression, makes the news all the more tragic. Steve’s Top Five Off-the-Air Sitcoms That Need to Be Revived [Rob and Kat Weigh in Too]

In a world where not all of your problems can be solved with a joke, if you have a 30-minute window of time, it’s good to know you can still sit down and at least forget about them for a while. Who doesn’t enjoy watching their favorite characters get in over-the-top predicaments?  Is Jack Tripper (Three's Company) going to fix his two-dates-at-the-same-time problem? What are the Huxtables (The Cosby Show) or the Tanners (Full House) getting themselves into this week? Are Leonard and Penny (The Big Bang Theory) going to cohabitate?  As viewers, these are all concerns we have over the course of watching our favorite shows. Here are the top five shows I watc

‘Game of Thrones’ Season 5: Why George R.R. Martin Won’t Be Involved Much

One of the reasons fans of the original books have been so cool with the major deviations 'Game of Thrones' made from the novels has been the direct involvement of author George R.R. Martin. As a producer and writer on the series, he's been present to give his blessing to the showrunners and wag his fingers at aggressive fans, but not this year. Martin will be sitting out 'Game of Thrones' season 5 altogether to finish writing the sixth book in the series, 'The Winds of Winter.'

Fifteen Fun Minutes With The Fun Ellie Kemper, Star of ‘Sex Tape’

Every so often, during a press day that seems endless for everyone involved, something that at least resembles "reality" can occur. It's an odd thing, really: Because on a day like this, most people involved are seeking something that doesn't feel manufactured, even though it's almost impossible to find. Anyway, that's my overly hyperbolic way of saying, "Talking to Ellie Kemper was a delight."
