“Paul” is Hilarious – [Review]

From the creator of Superbad and starring Shaun of the Dead's, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost,  Paul is one of the funniest movies that I have seen in a long time! Paul is the story of two English super geeks who, after visiting Comic-con in LA, decide to drive across country in a rented RV trying to fill their photo album with cool pics of all of the extraterrestrial hot spots. That's when they meet Paul (Seth Rogan), a foul-mouthed ET on a mission to

Top 10 Scariest Movies – Nino’s Picks

When it comes to scary/horror movies, I'm about the easiest person in the world to scare or gross out! But for some reason, I just can't stay away from them. Some horror movies are just all about the "hack-and-slash", which are my least favorite

The ‘Harry Potter’ Franchise Through the Eyes of a Non-Fan

Last weekend's release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2 concludes an epic 10 year run that captured the hearts and imaginations of fans around the world...except for mine. Unlike my wife and my mother, I've never read any of the books. Not because I think the story line is silly, but because I'm too lazy to read a book. Actually when it comes to movies, I, like nearly every other red-blooded male, gravitate more to comedies, action-adventure, sci-fi, and fantasy films. In theory, the Potter films would be right up my alley.

For years, traditional wisdom has held that when both halves of a couple works, they spend less time together and are thus less happy in their marriages.

A new study, however, seems to disprove that theory.

Evansville’s Kanpai is a Must Try – Ryan’s Review

(Editor's Note: Before we get too deep into this review, you should know that "Kanpai" is pronounced CAN-PIE. Now re-read the headline again and you'll see that I made a little rhyme (clever, huh?). Alright, let's get to it...)

My wife and I both really enjoy Asian cuisine whether it's Thai, Szchewan, or one of the many great Chinese buffets we have in the Evansville area. So last Saturday night we sent the kids to Grandma's house for the night and decided to grab dinner at Kanpai on Washington Ave. across from Schnucks. Our first trip was back in February for Valentine's Day dinner and we loved it.

Pirates of the Caribbean 4: Do You Still Care?

Do you still care about Disney's "Pirates" franchise?  To be honest, I do.  I don't care how many sequels a movie has as long as the movies remain high-quality.  "Pirates" has yet to put up a stinker in my opinion, so I'll be seeing "On Stranger Tides" until I see a bad "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie.  Check out the trailer inside!

‘Paula Deen Riding Things’ Blog Is Like Butter For the Internet

Further continuing the coverage of strange things from the web, how about we highlight Paula Deen.  She  is no stranger to Internet memes: the Southern fried TV chef has been the butt of many a butter joke on the web. A new Deen-obsessed image blog called Paula Deen Riding Things is deliciously bizarre. The Photoshopped works feature a sunglasses-wearing, wine glass-toting Paula riding atop a variety of people, animals and objects, from "The Neverending Story" creature Falkor to one of the titular monsters from "Tremors."

Check out a few of our favorites after the jump and for more, check out Paula Deen Riding Things on Tumblr:

Oscar Winners: ‘The King’s Speech’ Reigns, Portman Soars

There weren't a whole lot of surprises at the 83rd Academy Awards -- as expected, "The King's Speech" took the big prize as Best Picture. The film about King George VI overcoming his stutter also garnered a Best Actor statue for Colin Firth and a Best Director win for Tom Hooper.

"King"'s four statuettes tied "Inception," which also nabbed four awards in technical categories, for the most Oscars.

Oscar favorite Natalie Portman also took home the Best Actress statuette for her role in "Black Swan," and Melissa Leo and Christian Bale of "The Fighter" cleaned up in the supporting role categories.
