Earlier in the year, we reported that Sam Featherstone, a young man who lived in Newburgh, IN, was hosting a fundraiser to aid in research for pediatric brain cancer. It was only a few days later that Sam passed away from a brain tumor after his three-year battle with the disease
The annual event will help raise funds and awareness for those battling Mitochondrial disease, a potentially life-threatening condition that affects the cells ability to produce the required energy needed for the body to function properly.

The second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing has been captured. Dzokhar Tsarnaev was taken into police custody Friday night -- five days after the bombing that left three dead and left more than 100 injured, police said. The 19-year-old was apprehended after a manhunt that began Thursday night with the fatal shooting of an MIT officer and extended into the evening hours on Friday.
