Cats may not be known for being tough, but this one sure is.

A feline in Harrisburg, Penn. named Opie was struck by a stray bullet that landed in his owner's home last week. Opie took the bullet, which otherwise could've hit a 3-year-old boy sitting on a couch in the room.

Homeowner Angelica Sipe said the bullet "came in the top of his head, out the bottom of his neck, and back into his shoulder and out his armpit rib area." It then ricocheted onto a couch in the room, hit a love seat and landed in a pillow right near where Sipe's 3-year-old son was sleeping.

Fortunately, Opie is expected to be okay. The magnitude of the animal taking the bullet is not lost on an emotional Sipe, who said, "It could have been my son."

Sipe could've put Opie down, but there was no way she would do that, saying "He's my son't little hero."
