If you are one of the many people still scraping off your TV after Tuesday’s presidential-debate mud-slinging, then perhaps it is time for you to take a "poo-litical” stand and invest in some presidential poop bags.

To help you out with obtaining such novel effects is the Fort Worth, Texas-based company Therapoo, which has just released an arsenal of dog-poop bags branded with the cartoon mugs of both President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney.

Therapoo owner Danny Huber says that the Barack Obama bags are the current hot seller, beating out Mitt Romney bags at a 3-to-1 ratio. "People buy the bags of the candidates they don't like," he said.

That got us thinking: Could these novelty bags somehow predict the outcome of the upcoming presidential election?

Well, according to other poo-bag sellers like the New York-based MetroPaws, Romney bags are outselling Obama bags. "Right now, Romney is selling better than Obama, with stores at a 2-to-1 margin, but he's selling 5-to-1 better than Obama with online sales," said MetroPaws executive Jonathan Bolton. "Interestingly enough, every order from Utah is for Romney."

So, what does it all mean? Unfortunately, nothing, other than it appears as if many dog owners in this country are still on the fence about whom they will vote for in November’s presidential election. Perhaps urinal cakes are a better electoral crystal ball.
