“Brothers Smokin’ For Others” Raising Money for the Evansville Firefighters Pipe and Drum Corps

Get some delicious food and help out a great cause all in one fell swoop.

Brothers Smokin' for Others is a local group of firefighters who host barbecue fundraisers to assist those in need. Previous fundraisers have included raising money to help cover a fellow firefighters medical bills as he dealt with a serious illness.

This time around, the goal is to raise some cash for the Evansville Pipe and Drum Corps. A bagpipe and drum corps comprised of firefighters whose mission is to "honor the original American Firefighter, those who have gone before us and those who have paid the ultimate price."

Money raised from the sale of smoked pork butts will help fund the purchase uniforms and instruments for their newest members.

Butts are $25 each with orders being accepted through the end of the month (July 31st, 2013). All orders will be available for pick up on August 3rd from 10:00am to 12 noon beside the Evansville Firefighters Credit Union at 310 N. 4th Avenue.
