When Britney Spears swaps vows with fiancé Jason Trawick, it’ll be her third marriage and her second to a man named Jason.

While Brit’s ex-husband and baby daddy Kevin Federline expressed happiness for her recent engagement to Trawick, childhood pal Jason Alexander — whom she wed in Las Vegas in 2004 and then annulled 55 hours later — thinks Trawick’s proposal is “sad” and doesn’t sense a “connection” between the two.

Brit’s long-lost first husband — if a 55-hour union can really allow him to earn that term — told Us Weekly that he is not happy for her. Ouch. That certainly breaks etiquette rules.

“I know everyone wants me to be happy about this, but I am not,” Alexander, who is currently training for the World of MMA fighting competition, told the tabloid. “I think it’s fake and I think people are afraid to say it.”

Fake? Do tell us where you came up with that assumption, Mr. Alexander.

“If you look at all the pictures between them there is no connection,” he theorized. Um, Jay, have you seen the ‘Criminal‘ video where Brit and Trawick star as a Bonnie and Clyde type couple? There are some pretty scorching and naughty romantic scenes between the two that don’t look like acting or appear staged.

He continued, “They look like they are going through the motions. It seems like an answer to the court thing.” The “court thing” he is referencing is the fact that Brit is under the conservatorship of her father Jamie. Papa Spears oversees her financial affairs; he took over when Brit had her incredibly public meltdown a few years back.

Alexander finished, “Sort of a nice way to sew it all up she marries her handler. That way she always has someone controlling her. It’s sort of sad.”

Either Alexander has unrequited feelings for Brit and this is sour grapes or he is looking to drum up more press for himself for his MMA career.
