Impaired driving isn't an issue just here in the United States, but worldwide. One anti-drunk driving campaign in Britain is hoping people will reconsider getting behind the wheel after a few drinks by scaring the living daylights out of them.

While some advertisements lean on humor to get their point across, the British Department of Transportation's "Think!" campaign is taking a different approach by relying more on sheer terror.

Titled "Pub Loo Shocker" (American translation: Bar Restroom Shocker), the 52 second video has a hidden camera kind of feel and features a few different men (or "lads" as they would call them), making routine trips to the "loo", washing their hands, and checking themselves out in the mirror. Then things get freaky.

Side note: Even though I knew something was going to happen, I still jumped a bit. It should also be noticed that while it's not grotesque, you may not want the kids around when you watch this, not only because it may be a bit too much for them to handle, but because there's a good chance you're going to involuntarily curse.

The idea of course is for people to understand the consequences of drinking and driving, and hopefully get them to call a cab (or whatever they call those in Britain) if they've had one too many pints.

Is it working? By the reaction it's getting on Twitter, it certainly has people talking. Does it work for you? Let me know in the comments below.
