Yesterday, Kat read a news story about a billboard in Lubbock, TX, that is getting a lot of attention. A photo of Jesus covered in negative tattoos is offending some while reaching others on a personal level. We weighed in on the campaign and so did you! Check out what others are saying below!

I am tough to offend, and the image of a tattooed Jesus is not offensive to me. The group that displayed it knew for certain that people would be upset by the image, however, I'm sure that was their goal. So now, the upset Christians are not only having to view the image, they are actually spreading the message and essentially advertising for the group above and beyond the silly billboards. The Bible has always been open to interpretation. I think anybody upset with these billboards should just do what I do... Don't get mad about how people interpret things differently than you do.

I think it is brilliant marketing. It is a very creative way to spread their message. It certainly got my attention and at the end of the day, that's what it's about - garnering attention.

ASHLEY - Townsquare Media, Editor

At first, when I heard Rob and Kat talking about this, I thought it sounded derogatory but after Kat explained the video, tears came to my eyes. What a beautiful message and what a smart way to interact with a younger audience.

CHRIS - Townsquare Media, Intern

People who actually read the Bible should be able to grasp the meaning behind the message portrayed. People who are offended are simply choosing to emotionally react to something that differs from their internal vision of how Jesus should be portrayed. There is absolutely nothing derogatory or blasphemous about it.People who actually read the Bible should be able to grasp the meaning behind the message portrayed. TED BURKE - Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, Pastor

The church today is in the midst of a reformation, do we continue with the old ways or find where God is leading us into His future. This is an example of that very issue. The nice Jesus of the church is replaced by a radical, issue facing Jesus. The church can not continue to live as we have but be open to our God preferred future.

RHONDA

I believe Jesus died for all and I think this ad is a modern way to show and connect with a large group of people.

I think it's a great way to visualize how Jesus takes our sins as his own, to show his neverending love for us.
