Beth From The Walking Dead’s First Single

It's no surprise that Emily Kinney is a great singer, we've heard her sing several times on The Walking Dead, and she really is a talented singer.  Turns out, she's going to try to take a stab at this music thing! Today she released the music video to her first single 'Rockstar'

*SPOILER ALERT SKIP THIS PARAGRAPH IF YOU HAVEN'T CAUGHT UP TO THIS SEASON.* If you watch the Walking Dead then chances are, like me you're still in mourning over the shocking death of Beth in the last episode.  And don't even get me started on Daryl's reaction, IT BROKE MY HEART. I'm still not over it.  But it does make me feel a little better to know that even though we won't be seeing Emily portraying Beth on The Walking Dead anymore, we can still keep up with the real life Emily through her music and upcoming acting projects.

'Rockstar' to me has a huge 90's grunge kind of vibe to it.  I'm going to be honest, the first time I listened to it, I was like "Emily, girl.  What are you doing?" But after listening to it about 3 or 4 times to write this blog, I kind of dig it.  She's got a great voice, so I could see this music thing working pretty well for her.  However some of the lyrics in the song I think or kind of hokey, for instance she is so excited to be in the audience to take pictures of her rockstar husband for his instagram.  She also adds a shoutout to The Walking Dead in the song by talking about how she sends him un-aired Walking Dead episodes to occupy his time on the plane.  I guess there is an upside to dating someone who acts in your favorite show.  So if you'll excuse me, I'm going to be over here tweeting the crap out of Norman Reedus until he decides to love me (and send me unaired episodes of The Walking Dead).

Also fun fact, did you know Emily is 29?!  That shocked me!
