As a new mom, I am starting to really understand the importance of Mother's Day. You'll never really understand until you become a parent yourself. From the very first few weeks of pregnancy and even through adulthood, you worry about your child, give up for your child and even feel physical pain for your child. It's simply a time to give back and say "thank you" for those 18 hours of labor, 18 years of no sleep, 18 diaper changes a day and $18,000 a year you spent on various things to make me happy. You rock, mom!

I found a couple of fun things to do here in Evansville with your mom. And, yes... spend the extra dough - she's worth it! If I missed your favorite restaurant, email me at ashley.sollars@townsquaremedia.com with details and I’ll add it to the list.

Be sure to tip your server well if you do decide to go out. Don’t forget that they are giving up their special holiday to serve you. Be generous!
