Video games are great but they might not have become what they are without table top games. There are some pretty fun ones that are RPG. The most well known name is Dungeons and Dragons which was the biggest influence on RPG games.

There is a game I want to talk about in particular. It is a strategy card game known as Magic the Gathering. This game has cards in 5 colors red, green, white, black, and blue. You can build a deck with one of the colors 2,3,4, and 5. There is no limit on how many cards you have in your deck.

There are many different game types you can play like just a standard 1v1 match where you go until one loses twenty life. You can play with as much life as you want but the basic match is twenty. There is also Two Headed Giant which is 2v2 play style this tends to be a match with 40 life. One of my favorite game types is assassin. This is where you take unused cards outside of the game and needs to be played with 3 or more people. So everyone shows everyone else who's card is who's. Then someone shuffles them face down. You hand out the cards until everyone else has some one else's card. You may look at your card and you can only attack the player who's card you have. You don't reveal who's card you have until you attack and if you kill them then you get their card and attack another player.

There are many possibilities of decks you can make and game types you can play making the game so much different each time and it may be a expensive habit but it is well worth the money.
