Annual Pancake Days Coming to Downtown YMCA in Evansville

Bring the family and your appetite and get ready to chow down on some good old fashioned flapjacks!

While I do love to make pancakes at home, I certainly have no problem letting someone else do the work every once in a while. The YMCA Pancake Days are scheduled for February 15th, 16th, and 17th at the downtown Evansville location from 6am - 1pm on Friday the 15th and Saturday the 16th, and 8am - 1pm on Sunday the 17th.

All three days will feature live entertainment, and of course pancakes served with juice, milk, coffee, and sausage. Tickets cost $5.00 per adult (ages 13 and up), $3.00 per child, and are available in advance at the YMCA, or at the door the day of the event. All proceeds will benefit scholarships for children and families who otherwise would not be able to attend YMCA programs.

The first pancake days started in the 1950's. Last year's event required 300 volunteers whipping up enough batter to make roughly 14,000 hot cakes over the three day period.
