American Idol Sends Two Home

After the judges save of Casey last week, America had to say goodbye to two contestants this week.

At the end of the night, the trio of Naima, Paul, and Thia found themselves in the bottom three. And if you couldn't tell by the picture, Naima and Thia found themselves out of the competition.

I think America made the right call here. Although I will admit I haven't had a chance to watch the last two weeks worth of performances, I was never a fan of these two contestants, particularly Naima. Her infusion of reggae where it didn't belong along with her style and overall look just didn't do anything for me.

As for Thia, I don't really have an opinion here. Even though she was the youngest finalist ever on American Idol, she didn't really stand out and maybe that's what led to her getting booted from the show. Like so many other reality shows and competitions, the contestants who stand out the most seem to do better. Thia didn't stand out, she was just kind of...there.
