American Authors want you to have the "Best [Prom] of Your Life," so they've created the perfect playlist to listen to during the big dance -- and PopCrush has the exclusive premiere for your listening pleasure!

The eclectic mix features a blend of current hits and classic jams, fast-paced tracks and iconic slow songs. The playlist starts out with Fiest's bubbly '1234,' the perfect track to get your night started. And with the lyric "Old teenage hopes are alive at your door," this song would be perfect to play as your date arrives to pick you up. The next track is Soulja Boy's 'Crank That,' and you know this one is about to get the party started, with its addictive beat and irresistible background snaps.

The playlist then kicks it old school with a ha's 1985 hit 'Take on Me,' which totally makes us feel like we're living in a John Hughes movie -- classic! It then launches into Rihanna's upbeat 'Please Don't Stop the Music' before diving back into the '80s with a little of Cyndi Lauper's 'Time After Time,' a la 'Romy and Michele's High School Reunion.'

Miley Cyrus then brings a little country to the celebration with everyone's favorite Americana anthem, 'Party in the U.S.A.' To slow things down a bit -- we all need those slow dances, ladies! -- Coldplay is up next, with 'The Scientist.' But American Authors end the mix with the perfect end-of-the-night, singalong: Bon Jovi's 'Livin' on a Prayer.' You know you just want to belt that out!
