Just about every tri-stater thinks about Florida as a prime vacation destination. It's warm, has beautiful beaches, is budget-friendly and now there will be two airports in the tri-state that offer flights directly to Orlando for a very reasonable price.

With fares starting at $59, you can plan a quick singles trip or family affair and not feel like you are spending all your vacation funds on the transportation. Allegiant Air currently offers the flight from the Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport, but it will be announced today that the Evansville Regional Airport (EVV) will be offering the flight as well starting on June 2, 2016.

I've been on the flight from Owensboro and it actually flies into the Orlando-Sanford International Airport. It's a great little flight - the airports are small enough that you won't be overwhelmed and waiting forever and the aircraft is very nice. Plus, Orlando is centrally located so you can make it to either side of the state easily.
