Much like Dunkin' and Joe's above, I've only been to a Fudrucker's once during a trip to visit a close family friend in Knoxville, Tennessee a few years back. If you're unfamiliar with Fudd's, the concept is pretty simple; it's Subway with hamburgers — sort of. You pick what size patty you want (1/3, 1/2, or 2/3 pound), tell them how done you want it, and once it's cooked, take your hot and steamy meat (along with your burger - ZING!) to their "fresh produce bar" to build it however you want with a wide variety of veggies, sauces, and other toppings. For example, I'm not a big fan of tomatoes, so instead of telling them "no tomato" only to have them forget and put it on there anyway, leaving me to remove it which inevitably also means the removal of a sizable glob of that deliciously tangy blend of ketchup and mustard that has stuck to it. At Fudd's that's not an issue, because I control what goes on my burger.
