The 9th annual 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive is in the books, and thanks to your generosity, it was the best year yet!

Just like the previous eight years, we, along with our sister-stations, My 105.3 WJLT, 103GBF, and 99.5 WKDQ, plus Henderson Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and 911 Gives Hope, set up camp in the Walmart parking lot on Evansville's east side for a weekend-long broadcast with the goal of filling a 53-foot semi trailer full of toys for the children spending the holidays in area hospitals. The one difference this year was the addition of Walmart in Henderson as a drop off location for those Tri-State residents living south of the Ohio River who wanted to make a donation, but didn't want to mess with hassle of holiday traffic on Evansville's east side (and who can blame them?).

When all was said and done Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m., not only was the trailer full (pictured above), we had over 200 boxes full of toys. A total that obliterated last year's total according to Evansville Police Chief Billy Bolin:

THANK YOU TRI-STATE! Your incredible spirit of giving to those in need truly shined this past weekend, and will put countless smiles on the faces of children spending the holidays working to get well.
