Does your pet have weird fears?  Mine does!

Wrigley is a Pit Bull mix (we think mayyyyyyybe with boxer? that's what the rescue said)  but don't let the stereotype of Pits fool you, she's a big gigantic baby (just like most other Pit Bulls I know:) )

Wrigley was a rescue through Another Chance for Animals, I got her when she was 8 weeks old, she just turned 2 in March.  She's such a good, sweet natured dog, but she's also kind of a huge chicken (we're talkin' if there's a noise, and I go to check it out, instead of her going and investigating she stands behind me and looks out from around my legs as if saying "you go look, I've got your back").

It's funny though because most of the things she is afraid of won't actually harm her....

Here's 5 weird things she is afraid of:

    The bank drive thru

I went to the bank on Saturday and took her with me and she was not having it with the tube that sucks up the container at the bank drive thru (I feel like I could not be anymore vague, but is there a special name for those things?!) Anyways she hid on the floor board until we pulled away.

    My new coffee table

She army crawled past my coffee table for the first 2 days. No worries, she's adjusted nicely since then, and they get along great now.

That expensive toy I bought her

So I splurged and bought this toy that you turn on and she wears a sensor on her collar, and when she gets close to the toy it's supposed to move around, and make her chase it...but no, she's afraid of it so she watches it from a safe distance peeking around the edge of the couch.

    Umbrellas

She tries to run from them which doesn't really work when I'm holding onto her leash, and also holding the umbrella, she can't go very far from it. So when it's pouring outside, I have to just suck it up and stand in the rain with her...which she also is afraid of the rain and won't walk out into it so I have to carry her into the grass to get her to go out when it's raining.  I know she's trained me well....

    The Vet

Okay, so I guess this isn't a totally weird fear for a dog to have, but I feel she over exaggerates a little.  When I try to walk her into the vets office she will plant her feet on the ground and will not budge, so I have to pick her up and carry her into the vet, which is fine she isn't too big to do that, but the issue is she likes to then use her paws and push on the door facing so I can't get her in the door because she's all sprawled out clinging to dear life as I'm trying to shove her through the door.  It's quite the scene she causes.
