3rd Annual Evansville Memorial Day Run

Work up an appetite before eating all of that barbecue on this Memorial Day by running (or walking) in the 3rd Annual Evansville Memorial Day Run. Its a 5k/10k Run/Walk sponsored by Indiana Rolling Thunder Chapter 6 beginning at Garvin Park in honor of those that have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Late registration will begin at 7am on Monday, followed by a salute to the Veterans that will be participating. Yuengling Lager will also be handed out at the finish line to toast those that have fallen (in battle not in the race)!

Here is the schedule of events for Monday:

Monday 5/28/18
7am – Day of PACKET PICK UP for those out of town or with scheduling conflicts.
8am – National Anthem led by Patriotic Soul with 100 foot American Flag.
8:30am – Kid’s dash
9:00am 5k and 10k
9:30am – 1pm Finishing beer with Lager for Heroes Toast with Live band, Beer, Food and Giveaways. Sponsored by Yuengling.
11:00am – Awards Ceremony

A portion of each entry will go to Rolling Thunder Indiana Chapter 6. Their mission is to help correct and protect past and future veterans from being left behind. They are committed to helping disabled veterans from all wars.
