The Ernies - Here & Now

The Ernie's were a late '90's band that blended rock, hip-hop, and ska beats with lyrics about astronomy and physics to form a sort of weird, science-math-rock sound that worked. Sadly, the debut album, Meson Ray, would be there one and only release, but it left a song that captures the essence of living for the moment. From opening line of, "Here we go,"  "Here & Now" is a non-stop flurry of, record-scratching, great guitar grooves, and a horn section that shine during the break-down about three-quarters of the way through a song guaranteed to get anyone's blood pumping before they take the field.

Side Note: If you can find it, pick up a copy of Meson Ray. You'll be glad you did.
