Horror movies are something that took me a long, long time to get into.  When I was a kid I walked in on my dad watching Childs Play (ya know the Chucky movie) in the living room and it scarred me for life.  So when I was a kid and growing up they scared the crap out of me! That was until Johnny Depp starred in Secret Window (not technically a "horror" movie but still it's a creepy kinda suspenseful thriller kind of movie).  And since my main squeeze was in a scary movie I knew I'd have to man up and get over my fear.

Ever since then I got into everything from classic horror movies to suspenseful thrillers, and everything in between.  And of course the classics, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Friday the 13th.

Is it really any surprise that my favorite holiday is Halloween? Nope?  That's what I thought.  So even though it's only August it's never too early to start celebrating with some classic horror movie facts!
