10 Positive Things to Look Forward To!

In the wake of the election, there has been a lot of negativity, let's think about some positive things to keep us going!

1: Star Wars: Rogue One

Anytime a new Star Wars movie is about to come out, it's a time for celebration. Not only does this movie bring back Darth Vader, but it also tells the story of how the Rebels got the Death Star plans. We are only a month away from this movie and I truly believe it's going to be great!

2: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

I'm not even a huge Harry Potter fan and this movie looks pretty awesome. I'm intrigued by the time period and that it is set in the USA. The best part: It comes out next week so we don't even have to wait that long!

3. Nintendo Switch

For the first time in a very long time, I am excited about a Nintendo console coming out. The last system from Nintendo I owned was the Gamecube. While the Wii and Wii U failed to capture me, this thing just looks awesome. Also, with more third-party support, the Nintendo Switch might be exactly what the company Mario made needs to get back in the race!

4. Hugs

Ahhhh, yes, the act of wrapping your arms lovingly around someone. It's pretty much the best thing. And you don't have to wait to go do it. Find someone right now and hug them. Get their permission as few people like ambush hugs. But yeah, go hug someone and spread those positive vibes.

5. Hamilton Mixtape

I am a huge fan of Lin-Manuel Miranda's smash hit musical Hamilton. On Dec. 2nd, he's releasing a remix Mixtape of some of the most popular songs from the musical featuring some of today's best artists. If you aren't excited about it, uhhhhhh, have you listened to the song above?

6. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life

Almost ten years after the original series ended, Gilmore Girls is back with 4 new episodes exclusively to Netflix. Each episode will feature a different season and pretty much all of the original cast has returned, including now-megastar Melissa McCarthy. I cannot wait to watch this the day after Thanksgiving, which is when it premieres.

7. Hugs while wearing hoodies

Remember that thing I said earlier about wrapping your arms around someone in a loving embrace? Add some super comfy fleece to that and you get huggin-in-hoodie goodness.

8. Snow

Yeah, it sucks to drive in and it's cold AF but snow is one of the best parts of living in the Midwest. Waking up to that first snowfall of the season or falling asleep as snow begins are the best. Everything looks nicer with snow on it. Winter is coming. Get excited!

9. I'm sure Taco Bell will make some sort of new taco

I have it on good authority from a friend who works at one of America's finest institutions of taco making, that they will be debuting two new items around Christmas. If you need a reason to live and be positive, let Taco Bell be that reason.

10.Cats taking over

The internet has made them too powerful. It's only a matter of time.
