If you heard a siren four streets away, and want to know why, this is first place to go. While I'm not sure who is responsible for starting this, I do know that it's handled by a revolving door of volunteers, each of which give up a few hours of their day to monitor local police scanner chatter and essentially report it to the rest of us. To break up the monotony of every scooter accident, fist fight, and fire in the tri-state, they'll also share some of the more odd police runs that make you wonder where we went wrong as humans.
